Easter celebrations

Easter weekend was so much fun! I love the holidays, especially getting to celebrate them with my loves

We had the annual Easter Eggstravanga at the kids' "school"

My dad joined us, since Brett was still in the midst of "busy season"

That night we headed out to take bluebonnet pictures, but to my surprise, the JCP headquarters field was null of them this year :-( We enjoyed a nice dinner out to celebrate my birthday though
And Elise modeled her Easter jammies that night Easter morning! The kids opened their Easter baskets...but we are already pressed to leave by 7:30 on Sundays as it is, especially throwing in opening Easter baskets and eating a home-made breakfast as well! So I didn't snap many pics :-) 

I made a ham and fixin's for lunch and was able to take some sweet pics of our little family. Be still, my heart!

They were getting hungry (and Elise sleepy) by this point:

And both brothers wanted to hold little sis...haha!

Easter was also my birthday this year. So, we headed to downtown that afternoon for more family fun (after afternoon naps, even one by me :-) 

So blessed!

And we had dinner and dessert on the patio that night while listening to rain. What a PERFECT day celebrating Christ's resurrection!
