Cannot believe this boy turned 10-months-old on Monday. WOW!
This month has been a BIG month for your BIG boy (who is 27 lbs.+, which we know because we took him in again recently for another ear infection---he is scheduled for tubes on March 14th :-( Anywho, despite chronic ear infections and his top centrals coming in, he's been pretty chipper. And he's been tackling milestones left and right. This past month he started:
Army crawling (video to come in a separate post)! He is hiking knees up, but has not made forward movement on them...

Pulling up to his knees on anything that is in sight! He will also go from crawling to sitting up.
Phew, that's a lot. Love this boy!
Blake's favorite things these days:- Balls of any kind. He loves his soft baseball, and any of his big brother's sporting goods. We have a crate of them, and it seems to be the one he goes for first!
- Baths! 'Nough said!
- Tupperware containers/lids and cups (especially in the bath). It's the little things...
- Soft ring stacker (was also one of his brother's favorites at that age)

- Music! He likes to be loud (hitting, banging, etc.), so if the object makes noise back, he's impressed!
- Boy things, such as cars, Lego's and blocks, probably because he sees Jameston playing with them

- Anything that Jameston is doing, he wants to do. Proof:
Blake's top teeth are right under the gum. This, along with his ears, has caused him to wake up about once a night the last few weeks :-(

Sleeping: Blake takes two naps a day now, usually around 9:30 or 10 for an hour or so, and then an afternoon nap around 2 (for about an hour-and-a-half)---glad he isn't showing signs of going to one nap a day at 10-months, like his big brother did! He goes to bed for the night between 7-8 9except on Wednesdays :) and sleeps 10+ hours. I may feed him around 6, and he usually goes back to sleep for an hour or so, and is up ready for breakfast after that!
Eating: Loves to eat (can't ya tell? :-) Usually eats what we are having. New foods this month are cheese, berries (all sorts), tortillas, broccoli, tomatoes, brisket, ravioli, applesauce, and that's all I can remember! He is drinking water or juice one time a day, and he has yet to master holding the sippy cup. He continues to love bananas and avocado, so those are our go-to foods several times a week. We know he's full when he starts to drop food off of his tray :-)
- Blake knows his name and will turn to/look for you you when you say it
- He is throwing/dropping/banging on all things. He's loud!
- He repeats (or tries to repeat) certain sounds and words and hand movements (we are working on signing). He says "Dada" all the day long, and his first non-babbling word was "hey" after we listened to the Lumineers' hit song several times :-)
- He claps and waves a lot. So cute!
Look at those cheeks! Love to kiss 'em!!
- Blake dances when I hold him on my hip, and he'll bee-bop/bounce when he's in his carseat/highchair or sitting
- He has quite the little temper, if I have to set him down and he wants me to hold him, or if we take something away from him that he really wants (mainly paper products). He has started arching his back when he doesn't want to be put in his car seat. And changing his diapers has become quite the challenge/fine art these days!
They adore each other so much, and both can make the other laugh. Even though Blake is now somewhat mobile and getting into Jameston's things, big brother sweetly redirects him to something else. So, so sweet these two. Can't wait to watch their relationship grow! So blessed by these two!
We love you, Blakester, Baby Blake, Blakey, B., Bubba, little fella (these are just some of the nicknames we, especially your big brother, call you)! It's been another fun month in the Winters' household because of you, little guy!
