Baby E at 3-months!

Elise Faye is THREE MONTHS (and two weeks) OLD! Shhhh...don't tell her Mommy is this late posting about it :-) Time has flown, as it seems to, and I've been meaning to jot down what our baby girls has been up to!
No measurements this month, but she outgrew 0-3 months on length at about 2 1/2 months. She's about 2x the length of her sock monkey :-)
This is such a fun age! She is so alert and interactive these days, and I could just look at and talk to her all day long.
Elise had her first cold this past month :-( Poor thing had a yucky nose and cough. Just hate it when they're sick! Thanks to the humidifier, hot steam, saline and the Nose Frida, she got better in no time. Hoping to be sickness free for awhile!

She eats about every 3-4 hours during the day, and can go about 8-10 hours at night! She is super captivated when we are eating (she smacks as she watches us eat, haha!), so I am sure we will start cereal and veggies in a month or two.

She is normally sleeping GREAT and unswaddled (because she is oh-so close to rolling over)! She did go through a growth spurt at the beginning of the month (tummy growling in the middle of the night), so she woke up more to eat. But she normally sleeps from about 8 or 9 pm to around 5 or 6 am. Whoa, little sister!! Mommy was feeding big brothers in the middle of the night until about 6 months old! She naps well, too, even if we are on the go or if there is a lot of noise (ahem, big bros :-)
She is super laid-back, in that she doesn't need someone to hold her all the time, although we all want to. You can definitely tell she is a third child by how she can entertain herself already!

She is SO so smiley! Love those toothless grins :-) She lights up when she sees her big brothers and is not discriminatory on who she will smile for!

Elise has found her hands, and she's grabbing at everything and holding on, especially to mommy's hair and necklaces and her carrier/bouncer toys. She is also into kicking as of late, and really goes to town in the bouncer, bath, and on the changing table!

And she prefers her hands over the pacifier! So we might have a thumb/finger sucker
Her big brothers are smitten with her, and often quarrel over who gets to hold her longer. These are just some of the battles they have, as they are very competitive. But it is also very cute, them talking with her and wanting to hold her. Melts.my.heart!
Talking about talking, this girl is full of coos and gurgling! She just started to giggle, especially if I nuzzle her neck. The cutest and sweetest sounds on earth!
What she likes: her Fisher Price mirror on the changing table, her mobile, ceiling fans, kicking in the bouncer and bath, mommy's singing (I think, but she does giggle a lot)!

Elise is looking a lot like her brothers, but she has darker hair and even bigger eyes (hard to believe) than they did! And she has more hair than they did (although it isn't much at all and she is starting to lose some on the back of her head :-)
This girl is moving, like an inchworm, in her crib, thus us having her sleep unswaddled now. I feel like she will roll over any.day.now.
Elise is sitting well supported (guess she has a wide base like her Momma!) with excellent head control. Bring on the BUMBO!
Mommy has had a lot of fun dressing Elise in the girly clothes we've received as gifts and the hand-me-downs! Bonnets, smocked dresses and bloomers, oh my :-)
We spend a many of nights on our back porch. Love this pic of me and my girl, with big brothers actually getting along in the background :-) These are the days!!
Elise is a Daddy's girl, and Brett is smitten with our littlest. He says "Baby girl" in the sweetest (and manliest :-) voice. Can't wait to see their father-daughter relationship grow over the years!
Love our baby girl. She's a snuggler, especially on Sunday afternoons with Momma :-)
My dad, Pops, and his youngest grandchild

We are SOOOOO in love with little sister and thank God for her every day!
Happy three months, Elise Faye!
