'Tis the season!

Brett was out of town all last week (and I don't sleep well when he is), and the boys are both napping this afteroon at the same time...so I am (almost) caught up on the blog (minus a Thanksgiving and a few random posts). Never would I have dreamt I would be able to say that, but, phew...it is a nice feeling, indeed!

Last weekend we headed out to Bass Pro to take pictures with Santa. We went early, since Brett was going to the Tech/Baylor game that afternoon. Usually he is against these kinds of things, but I have slowly convinced him that it is a must :-) Plus, it was FREE, so he couldn't really complain. Ha!

We will definitely go this route from here on out! No crazy mall line (parking, etc.)...
Blake brought his game face!

And Jameston was in awe of it all!

Games for your kids to play to pass the time (we waited 30 minutes because we got there before Santa did, they start at 10:00) while one parent waits in line. And the Santa was a legitimate looking one. Bass Pro won us over!
Blake was in a chipper mood, thank goodness!
He started getting feisty right before it was our turn, but he ended up going through the process with no melt-downs.
I was anxious to see how Jameston would do. He was funny---told Santa what he wanted as he was walking up to him!
This was the end result! Blake's belly hanging out, and Jameston looking like he needed to use the restroom. Hilarious!
Our printer/scanner is not cooperating, so please pardon the poor quality...hopefully you get the gist :)

Brother portraits

All for one and one for all. My brother and my friend. What fun we have. The time we share. Brothers 'til the end. -Unknown

Really, these pictures needn't any captions. I had a BLAST watching them having fun with each other. They sure love one another. And it makes my heart smile!

The Black and Whites of Blake and Jameston

It was hard to narrow it down, but I believe this is my favorite of the entire day. My cup runneth over!

Like I said, Jameston can make Blake laugh at the drop of a hat. My heart bursts with joy!
Also, one of my faves:

Love how they love each other so. Jameston can make Blake smile at the drop of a hat (even mid-cry)!

Thank you, God, for our precious gifts. We are so blessed by these two boys!

Jameston's 3-year-photos!

I loved taking pictures of our oldest. He was somewhat cooperative, and I think he had fun (have I blogged about him liking attention? :-) All in all, our little cowboy was a great subject! I think he's a pretty handsome one as well.

He dressed up as Woody from Toy Story for Halloween this year and he did not want to part with the cowboy hat!

I just melt
Sitting and talkin'. Aunt Maggie was my (awesome) assistant/distractor

That's all of the cowboy pictures, folks!

And then I couldn't pass up capturing Jameston attempting to destroy the dandelion. He's a boy, ain't he?!

Love his outgoing and adventurous spirit!

Now on to the Newsboy hat :-) One of my favorite single shots of our oldest:

Always talking,

or singing and dancing!
He was getting close to being over the picture-taking at this point!

Close-up of our oldest and his scars that prove he's all boy!

JW keeps us on our toes, and we love him even more for that :-)

Blake's 6-month pictures!

I was going to have the boys' pictures taken for B's 6-month-portraits and JW's 3-year-pics, but Jameston got a black eye the morning of our appointment. He has impeccable timing that boy, and a klutzy gene to boot. I decided to use my fancy dSLR camera (that is one reason my hubby bought it :-) and took it upon myself to capture them at these ages. I had a BLAST and hope to make it something we do every 3 (or 6) months!

Without further ado, here are pictures from early November of our youngest boy, in order of the way we took them :-)

Sitting and reaching! He's become the expert sitter over the last month

Got drool?

Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys. Or do, because they are pretty cute.

Get this hat off of me!

Another hat, Mommy?

Such a smiley boy! Those bottom teeth trying to peek through

You looking at me?

Give the boy a paper good, and he's thrilled!
Until you take it away...

Cutie-patooty!

We are SO in love with our baby boy!
