One-month-old!

Our little fella is a month old! This has been, hands-down, the best month of our lives! Jameston has provided us with so much in such little time. We are so blessed and are enjoying every second of it! Can't wait to see what the future days/months/years have in store :)

Here are some fun pictures and observations we have of him:

Stick 'em up!
With his cousin, Riley, watching (snoozin' through) the Tech game :)
For stats, we did not have a one-month appointment with the pediatrician, but we had to go in last week due to our son's preponderance to spit-up...not just a little here and there, but mass quantities (let's just say, laundry is one of my favorite past times right now, second to spending time with my hubby and our boy). We weren't worried about his intake, since he's almost making plenty o' diapers, but we were perplexed because he would spit up much later after being fed. So we visited Dr. Smart and found out a few things. The easy stuff: he was 9 lbs. 2 oz., so 50th % for weight for his age. He was also 22 inches, which is 75th percentile. We also learned that he has acid reflux (like mother, like son :) which I was surprised to find out is very common and occurs in 50% of babies. So, we are giving him drops and having him sleep on a sleep positioner/wedge, which both seem to be helping. Oh, and we are buying stock in the bib business!

He sometimes sleeps with his mouth (and eyes) open!

This past Sunday, just four short weeks after being born, Jameston was blessed during the Baby Blessing at church. It being only our second trip to church, we were a little disorganized and did not take many pictures:( It was so neat to sit back and realize how fortunate we are as a family to have a beautiful, healthy baby boy in our lives. It was also fun to see all the fellow Prestoncrest babies, a lot of whom I'm sure will be play pals for J in the near future!

As we enter the second month, we are still interchanging our nights and days, and we have come to the understanding that our little guy is a night owl. We are hoping (praying, pleading) that this gets resolved soon and that we can get him on a schedule in the next month (since mommy starts back to work)! We are, of course, open to any suggestions and recommendations...please :) At this age, we want to remember theses things about Jameston:
His likes: going for walks, driving in the car, moving his arms and legs, his bouncy seat and swing, and his pacifiers (and he often sucks on his fingers when giving us signs that he's hungry)
His dislikes: being swaddled, getting buckled in his car seat, tummy time (although this is getting better), and waiting even a minute to eat when he's hungry!
Deep in thought
We want to remember that at this age Jameston: grunts to communicate, is still sleeping quite a bit even though he is awake more and more every day, wrinkles his forward when making eye contact, tracks objects from side to side, and seems to be mesmerized for minutes on end by colorful objects. He seems to be growing and changing so much every day. Here's to the month ahead!
Jameston, we love you!!

Resting on Daddy (do you see a common theme to the pictures :) The boys sleeps a lot!

P.S., We will upload/share his monthly pic next to Mr. Bear when we get back from out of towm :)
