We will take monthly pics next to Mr. Bear, but I could not hold off two more weeks! At our last pedi appointment, he was back at his birth weight. So, we can let him sleep longer through the night, but that ain't happening yet!
Our little guy in a big chair
Right now, he's waking up every hour-and-a-half to three hours at night, and he's sleeping more during the day. We are working on getting that reversed, even getting him outside (when the weather permits) and going on walks to get him out in the day light. He recognizes our faces and voices, and even scrunches his cute little forehead when we talk to him. I'll try and capture it with the camera because it is so darn cute!Mom and Dad have already taken him out to eat once (on the patio one cool night), to the grocery store (he was soooo good, even with all the customers wanting to peak in on him in his carrier), and to evening service at church (we thought we'd ease into it...and we had every intention on going to morning service, but when 6:30 rolled around, momma was too tired with only about 2 hours of sleep!)

He's a fan of his swing (thank goodness) and pacifier...we didn't hold back with the paci, because we knew (through previous sonograms) that he's got a good sucking reflex, even when he's not hungry, and that he likes to have his hands up by his face (see later pics :)
One thing he's not a big fan of is bath time :( With the circumcision healed and the umbilical cord stump not far behind, he is looking forward to the upgrade from sponge baths!
Mommy, I'm cold!
Our little monkey :)
Sleepin' in on Saturday morning, yeah right!
As mentioned, he likes to sleep with his arms up by his head, so swaddling is not for him
And he makes the cutest faces when sleeping, like he's having some great dreams!
Resting on mom...my sister-in-law's mother made him this great black, white and red blanket/burp cloth/snugglie set. He loves looking at the colors (those are the main colors newborns can see at first). Thanks, Coretta!
He gets his bird legs from daddy!
He's almost out of newborn-sized clothes (we didn't have a lot of these, since we were told he was going to be a big baby), so we are all ready to break out the 0 to 3 month-sized clothes (especially Daddy, since Jameston has been wearing a lot of gender-neutral hand-me-downs these past two weeks)!
His pediatrician was amazed by his head/neck control at our first appointment, so she wanted us to start tummy time right away. He's not that into it, but hopefully it will get better, especially once his umbilical cord stump falls out.
First visit to our Pediatrician's office...day after we were out of the hospital
Lake Pointe has a full-time Perinatologist on staff who assesses each baby. She said our guy is perfectly healthy (praise God!). The only thing they wanted to watch was the sub-dural hematoma he suffered during delivery, but the bump has gone down quite a bit, especially this past week. Our Pediatrician wanted to see him once we were out of the hospital. Two appointments in and we really like her!
Getting some Daddy time!
Look at me, Daddy!
This experience has made me even more aware of the fact that I married such a wonderful man! Through his support, by way of late-night burpings and soothings for Jameston (he's been doing the 4 to 6 a.m. shift, right before heading into work), taking on household chores on top of his, and insisting on me taking naps when I can, Brett has made this journey all the more sweeter! He is such a hands-on dad, and he's such a natural, too! I am so blessed to have such a great husband, a healthy baby boy, and time off from work to enjoy our son!
Our little angel, sound asleep

He's gorgeous! Can't wait to meet him!
What a doll! I am so happy for you and your husband. Now I'm getting excited about having a little one again. They get so big so fast! We're moving to McKinney this weekend (which I know is not RIGHT around the corner from Rowlett) but we'll have to try to get together sometime and catch up! Congratulations again!
